The critically acclaimed Batsheva Dance Company is one of the most well respected dance companies in the world. Founded in 1964 by the Baroness Batsheva de Rothschild, the well highly respected Martha Graham was the company’s first artistic adviser.

The company has an impressive schedule, with over 250 performances in local and international theaters per year.  Ohad Naharin, a leading contemporary choreographer took over the role of Artistic Director in 1990. Under his leadership, the company entered  into a new era.

Naharin is the architect of the avant-garde movement language, Gaga. The company has become very influential and well respected in the larger field of movement.

The Batsheva Dance Company is to be found at the Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv.

The Batsheva Dance Company is currently on a summer break, but they will be resuming in October with daily performances at various times. More details are on their website, the address of which is posted below.
