Tel Aviv can certainly be an expensive city, but it is also home to a multitude of free things to do, particularly on holidays, when museums and cultural centers often offer free admission along with concerts, performances and activities. If you are more of a party person, keep an eye out for outdoor parties with no entrance fee in Florentine on holidays like Purim, Hanukkah, Sukkot and Passover or on the the beach during the gay Pride Parade. And even if there aren’t any official events going on, you can always partake in some favorite Tel Aviv pastimes like hanging out and playing sports on the beach or going for a bike ride around town (almost free with Tel-O-Fun bike rental).
