Showing at the Eretz Yisrael Museum. The Old/ New Story is a comedy-drama by Jesse Eisenberg.

Watching this comedy drama will certainly make you think. Involving two characters. A male, young writer, an American Jew, a little confused, a little arrogant, a little shy and a female, second cousin of the grandfather of David (as she describes herself), a Holocaust survivor who lived in the port city lonely gray Stz’itzein.

He gets her grandfather’s advice to be alone and complete the second book and is all excited to finally work someone’s relatives bother to visit. Vast distance between their worlds is getting short when David discovers his writing block serious than he thought, and when she reveals to him the secret of his family’s past that will change their lives forever.

A captivating comedy-drama about a generation gap and cultures.
