2 Day Tour to Petra from Tel Aviv

This 2-day Petra tour from Tel Aviv will take you directly from your hotel in the White City to discover one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, the ancient city of Petra.

The first day of your tour will take you across Israel’s Arava border crossing and into the Kingdom of Jordan. A two-hour drive through southern Jordan along the desert highway and into the Jibal Ash Sharah mountain range, where the ancient Nabatean city of Petra is carved into the slope of Jebel al-Madbah. On your tour of this over 2,000 years old archeaological wonder, you’ll see pass through the iconic Siq that leads to the impressive treasury, and see the many tombs, monasteries, homes and temples from the city’s heydey, as well as architectural remnants from the Roman and Crusader eras.

After a day of exploring Petra, you have the choice of staying at a 3-star hotel in Petra’s village of Wadi Musa, or heading back south into the heart Wadi Rum, known as one of the word’s most beautiful deserts, for a night of dinner and relaxation under the stars in an authentic, but comfortable Bedouin camp.

On the second and last day of your trip to Jordan, you’ll explore the scenic sands, mountains and canyons of the Wadi Rum desert on a 4-hour jeep Safari before heading back to Eilat through Jordan’s port city of Aqaba.
