Yom Haatzmaut Events in Tel Aviv 2017

Yom Haatzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, begins at sundown immediately following the end of the Yom HaZikaron, the country’s day of remembrance for fallen soldiers. One of the first things you’ll notice is that Israelis waste little time in transitioning from the sadness of Yom Hazikaron to the joy of Yom Haatzmaut, which has become one of the most important days of the year not only in Israel, but also among most Jewish communities across the world.

Beginning the evening of May 1, 2017, Israel will celebrate 68 years since the country was established by its founding fathers in 1948. Not surprisingly, this is cause for serious celebration in Tel Aviv, including parties in the bars, clubs and streets, concerts, special events, fireworks, barbecuing and much more.

Here is a listing of some annual events that will likely take place in 2016.

Monday night, May 1, 2017

You’ll be able to find some sort of celebration on almost every corner of the city as people take to the streets and the bars throw parties. It’s still early for 2017 events, but you can check out what went down in 2016.

Much like Independence Day in the United States, Yom Haatzmaut is a popular day to get together at friends’ houses and in parks and bbq. However, there are still plenty of organized going on throughout the city.

Independence Day Rave at Music Park
