About Alma (Charles Clore) Beach
Located in the sprawling Charles Clore Park, this beach is one of the calmest and most secluded beaches, favored by families and other beach-goers looking to avoid the noise and bustle of the central and northern beaches. On the southern end, dogs and water sports are allowed as well, and the beach has standard facilities, such as bathrooms, showers and a restaurant.
In the park above the beach, there is also plenty to do, including a cycling trail, fitness area, children’s play area and plenty of grass for laying out. The park is also the site of many concerts and festivals during the summer, including the massive Gay Pride Parade official party.
Barbecuing, bonfires and loud music are not allowed on the beach.
Alma Beach is nestled inside of Charles Clore Park, just south of the end of the Herbert Samuel Promenade, parallel to Prof Yehezkel Kaufmann Street.
Busses 10, 11, 18, 37 and 88 all stop on Prof. Yehezkel Kaufmann Street alongside the park, and it is about a 5-10-minute walk from Jerusalem Beach an Banana Beach.
There are nearby Tel-O-Fun bike rental stations at 2 Prof. Yehezkel Kaufmann Street and at the Hatachana Complex.
You can go to the beach whenever you want, but there are only lifeguards on duty during certain hours, which vary by season.
