Born Clifford Smith in Kingston, Jamaica, Mr. Vegas found international success in the late 1990s with hits such as “Nike Air” and “Heads High,” leading to guest appearances with artists such as Sean Paul, fellow Jamaican Shaggy, Snoop Dogg and Beyoncé.
