Christmas 2015 In Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv’s secular nature is one of its biggest draws, but when it comes to the Christmas spirit this attribute works against it. While there are typically sporadic events throughout Advent in Jaffa, as well as Christmas services at most of the city’s churches, your best bet for a lively Christmas atmosphere is actually to head to Jerusalem, where the Old City and its many active Christian communities come alive throughout the month leading up to Christmas. In the capital, you’ll find lavish dinners at hotels popular with Christian tourists, concerts, caroling, special tours, beautiful services and much more.

However, if you are set on spending the holiday in Tel Aviv, try heading to St. Peter’s, St. Michael’s or Saint Anthony’s Church in Jaffa for Christmas Mass, or if you are looking for Protestant services, to Immanuel Church in Tel Aviv’s American-German Colony.
