Santana in Tel Aviv

Legendary guitarist and all-around musician Carlos Santana is slated to make his first appearance in Israel in 29 years with what promises to be a massive show in Ha-Yarkon Park July 30, 2016.

With a career that spans over 5 decades, Santana is best known for his fusion of blues, rock, psychedelic and Latin sounds. He first rose to the top with his band Santana after a mystifying performance at the Woodstock festival in 1969 with hits like “Evil Ways” and “Black Magic Woman.”

While his popular diminished somewhat as he experimented with different styles from the mid-1970′s through the late 1990′s, he experienced a resurgence with the 1999 release of the uber-successful Supernatural, which featured hits like “Smooth” and “Maria, Maria” and nabbed a handful of awards in the process.
