- The Culture Palace, 11 Dizengoff St, Tel Aviv
Just three years after their last performance, Eric Kusturica and the No Smoking Orchestra return to Israel for a one night engagement at Tel Aviv’s Culture Palace.
The 10-piece band is simultaneously ambitious in both their music and their politics, as they crank out punk rock, rock and Balkan folk tunes that incorporate brass instruments, the accordion and other instruments.
In addition to his role as band leader, the Serbian Kusturica is also an acclaimed filmmaker, and the band’s shows often feature songs and adaptations of music they recorded for Kusturica films such as Black Cat White Cat, Underground, Time of the Gypsies, and Arizona Dreams.
Tickets are available through the Eventim website.
