- 41 Simtat HaCarmel St, Tel Aviv-Yafo
This unassuming joint tucked away in the Carmel Market might be the best place in Tel Aviv to experience the beauty of shakshuka in all its forms and glory. Along with the classic tomato sauce with peppers and poached eggs, Shakshuka has a huge variety of shakshuka dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world, such as the Spanish shakshuka with kabanos, spinach, onion and chickpeas or the Italian shakshuka with goat cheese and basil.
And if for some reason, you aren’t in the mood for shakshuka, there’s also daily specials, like fish and chicken dishes.
Not only a place for great food, Shakshuka is also the perfect restaurant for taking in the atmosphere of the shuk.
