Deca is one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Tel Aviv, especially on the kosher scene, which is quite impressive in itself, and even more so when you consider that its menu is strictly fish and dairy.
The menu is littered with tantalizingly exquisite, yet equally simple dishes inspired by provincial cuisines from the Mediterranean region, such as the handmade pine nut and almond gnocchi in a cheese sauce with shallots, sage and pure honey; the bass fillet with black risotto, pecorino cheese, sweet potato and chopped parsley cubes; or the rich Bouillabaisse soup with a scent of orange, pernod and coriander.
Deca gained its reputation by investing not only in its menu, but also its sleek yet elegant modern décor that features an ornate, see-through woven design pattern surrounding the high-ceilinged main dining area, which drew raves from American tourism lifestyle magazine Departures.
