Several years ago, the owners and chef of Nanunchka made the daring switch from traditional meat and cheese-centric Georgian fare to a strictly vegan menu. While the endeavor required a lot of imagination and the loss of some of the original flavors, it has overall been a giant success for Nanunchka, which has become a popular destination for people in search of a delightfully authentic Georgian atmosphere — complete with dancing, drinking and singing as the night wears on — and a delicious and unique vegan menu.
