Delicious Deli Bar

Located in the always bustling Tel Aviv Port market, Delicious Deli Bar is a tribute to throwback NY deli sandwich joints, with a no frills sandwich menu, bar seating only, old school ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles and cheap tin napkin dispensers.

Delicious’ burgers impressively rank among the best in Tel Aviv despite being a decidedly no frills joint. Your only real choices are which size patty you get and what condiments you put on. There are no special toppings — not even cheese. Regardless, you won’t walk away feeling disappointed because their hamburger patties made from beef and a bit of goose meat are rich and divine.  Rumor has it, however, that on occasion, you can get a smoked hamburger patty, which is supposed to be extra delicious.

Less heralded, but equally delicious, Delicious’ corned beef sandwich is about the closest thing to the NY version you’re going to get in Tel Aviv.
