Nahum Gutman was one of Israel’s most prominent artists- a painter, sculptor and even a children’s books writer and illustrator.
The museum is located in a historic Neve Zedek building which dates back to 1887, and was the house of the editorial board of the “Ha’Poel Ha’Tsair” newspaper and even served as a home to many famous authors like Yehuda Burla and Yosef Aharonovits. Gutman himself lived in one of the adjacent streets.
The museum displays a wide collection of his oil, Gouache and watercolor works, it also offers children’s workshops, a book and gift shop and a lecture hall.
