- The Yahalom Theater, 3 Ha-Yetsira St, Ramat Gan
If you’re visiting Tel Aviv, you won’t want to miss this unique intermingling of classical music and jazz as Israeli jazz pioneer Avi Leibovich and the Orchestra team up with the Ramat Gan Chamber Choir for a n unforgettable night at The Yahalom Theater in Ramat Gan.
Leibovich made his name in the international music industry working with legends like Slide Hampton, Chick Corea, Bootsy Collines, Phillip Baily, Milt Jackson, James Moody, Roy Hargrove, Brad Meldau and Larry Willis among others. He formed the Orchestra when he returned to Israel just over 10 years ago after almost a decade of living and working in the Jazz meccas of New York and London.
Leibovich and the Orchestra are known for playing their takes on the works of Mozart, The Beatles, Israeli artist Yehudit Ravitz and traditional Ladino songs.
The Ramat Gan Chamber Choir has performed alongside some of Israel’s most prominent orchestras, and its recordings were used in the Steven Spielberg film Schindler’s List.
