- Metztzim Beach, Tel Aviv-Yafo
Located on the northern edge of the city center, Metzitzim is a popular spot for families thanks to the calm, shallow waters, plentiful public facilities and proximity to the Tel Aviv Port.
The beach is clean and features plenty of public facilities, a restaurant, volleyball courts and it’s always just a short stroll to the dining and shopping of the bustling Tel Aviv Port. It is also accessible for people with disabilities and home to the free beach library cart, so if you get bored, you can always borrow a book.
The beach gets its name from an Israeli cult classic by the same name shot there.
Location
The northernmost point of the Shlomo Lahat Promenade, where it meets the Tel Aviv Port.
Getting There
Bus and Sherut line #4 both run along Ben Yehuda Street, parallel to the beach and promenade. It’s a 2-minute walk if you get out on Nordau Street.
