While it’s most famous for being the city’s gay beach, it is also popular among dog-owners and surfers, as the northern part of the beach is one of the few spots on the coastline where dogs are allowed and the southern end is home to a patch of reef that creates great waves for surfing, with a number of surf shops and schools nearby.
