  • 13 Yad Harutsim Street, Tel Aviv
  • 03-688-9696
  • Tel Aviv City Center
  • Sat-Thurs 12:00 pm until 12:00 am; Friday from 9:00 am until 12:00 am

Belying its simple name, Coffeebar is much more than a place to grab a coffee, having succeeded in becoming one of the city’s most successful restaurants over the decade since it opened its doors.

The menu is decidedly Western, but strikes a wonderful balance between fish, seafood, meat and vegetarian with dishes like baked beets, homemade ricotta fresca and horseradish; spare ribs with chipotle, coriander and corn polenta; seafood with paprika risotto; drum fish with gnocchi, tomatoes, onion and olives; and a number of pizza and pasta choices.

Coffeebar’s hamburger in red wind sauce with grilled onion (no bun) has also made numerous lists documenting Tel Aviv’s best hamburgers.

While Coffeebar is located in a somewhat gritty part of town, the Yad Harutzim neighborhood, the interior is warm and inviting. During lunch hours it attracts a high-class business crowd, and Tel Avivians from all over the city flock to the oft-forgotten neighborhood in order to enjoy an extravagant brunch at Coffeebar.
