- Carmel Market, HaCarmel Street, Tel Aviv
The Carmel Market is the largest in Tel Aviv and situated right at the meeting point of the hip and trendy streets Allenby, Shenkin and King George. Its upper part consists mostly of clothing, cosmetics and electronics and as you go down, the environment quickly changes and the food court welcomes you with its intoxicating smells and vibrant colors.
We recommend you buy a refreshing orange juice or a small portion of halva and stroll along the stands, enjoying the atmosphere and listening to the funny songs every vendor makes up in order to attract new customers.
You can walk down the small alleys and get directly to the Yemenite Quarter or to Nachalat Binyamin, and if you head straight down you’ll end up in the Carmelit – the old central bus station which is a walking distance from the beach.
